Uijung Kim is an illustrator originally from South Korea. She lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. She's inspired by her childhood experiences and the family and friends she grew up with. She likes making fun, happy, and sometimes sad illustrations. Her work is strongly rooted in Korean culture through color, tone, and narrative. It’s who she is. Her main purpose for making art is that makes people to feel happy when they see her illustrations. She wants to speak to kids of all ages.
